A difference amplifier is a key building block in high-fidelity analog systems. It helps reject noise and minimizes distortion in analog signals. By amplifying the difference between two inputs, common-mode disturbances are canceled, leaving a clean output.
You can get a noticeable improvement in signal integrity by placing the board in front of a single-ended ADC input or using it between stages connected with long wiring.
The Coded Devices Difference Amplifier Board features an adjustable gain stage, so you can set the output to a level that suits your downstream circuitry. It also provides footprints for capacitors for low-pass filters and protective diodes.

We’ve put together an example parts list to help you get started. The schematics are available as well.
